CHRIST  THE KING COLLEGE              

                       In our Humanity subject we required to make an architectural design on the Kings Park on which we the the "Aquatic Group". 

                       By our theme Aquatic we have to choose any design that can fit to our theme. We use Indigenous material like for examples branches of small trees, coffee mixer stick, colored art paper ,shells , stones, small statue, sand, wood, and "paper de hapon". And by these materials we able to make benches, bridge, fence, etc.

                        After we are plan and discuss what we do to make our project attractive we are able to make and simple design but it look the best for us. We  make these because of our  theme "TEAM WORK"

                        But before we able to make these project we have entered a lot of trials and errors. Even though these trials and errors  we are trying our best to make our project.                       

                       These experiences is one of my memorable experience. Even we are struggling of making these but we able to smile. And these smile is  symbolize that we enjoy of what we are doing. Aquatic group is the best.

Humanities-1 Final project

            Christ The King College is the institution by RVM sisters wherein we pursue our studies.

   In our humanities subject were given a project to make our own architectural design.We have to make the "Kings Park College" to be an AQUATIC KINGS PARK.

             We are the AQUATIC GROUP.In making any design we have our own own purpose of our work as a group.This purpose serve's as a guide to be followed.The purpose of our work is to make an AQUATIC site inserting the KINGS PARK.

            In making our "theme"which is an aquatiuc we have to choose a design w/c we can explain it briefly but well.Our architectural design was simple but full of meanings.We're making our project out of all recycleable materials such as branches of trees,coffee mixer stick,colored art paper,shells,stones,silverdoes,

small statue,sand,wood,and "paper de hapon".Out of green paper de hapon we made a grass as our main grond.Hallway in the center w/c we put the sand w/c represent as a flowing river having a bridge out of coffee mixer stick.Benches as an relaxable waiting and sitting area of the park.Trees at the center of the benches.Flowers on the corner.Branches of trees having many trunh w/c represents as the coral in the sea.Under on the are those small and big shells hat makes our project an aquatic.At the center of it are the small statue of "MAMA MARY"represents Mari Ignacia del Espirito Santo.Umbrella made out of colored art paper w\c is blue and and small chairs  as an resting area in tje the pool or beach or whatsoever.Fences at the very entrance. 

           Simple design are the most fit term in our project.But we choose that because that are te result of our planning and discussion.Fortunately that's the result of our group TEAMWORKING.

          There are lot of difficulties and process we faces in making this project.Trial and Error is the right term.First we lack of materials and lack of planning.

          Eventhough we have lot of ERROR our group come up to a final decision to make our proect.We said"kung ano ang materials na meron kami-this is it nah lang".Out of those word we made our project successfull. 

           As a group we encounter such arfument from making on it and how to fullfill it.Little argument resulting on high temper and having different idea.But inspite on that we overcome it.

          All of us participating in making the project.Each one of us has it's own assignment to be done in making it.

          One of the major problem is we're not in a black section.We have our different class schedule.We're hectic in making to meet.But inspite of that we made it.We find ways.We assign each one of us an assignment so that we do all has part and participating in making our project.

  

           Experiences are a lifetime memories brings on our permanent diary w/c our MIND.Alifetime assets we can cherish to.Bondings are the the most important remembrance I remember most in making our project.Even sometimes we have an argument about our ideas but those arguments made us more capable in doing more good.Smiles.laughters,struggles faces,quarrels and jokes are the memories in making these projects.TEAMWORK is the key of one's group success.Trial and Error is one way to done it well.In making projects I do believe in"Try and Try until you Success".Unity,responsible and trusting each other.FAILURE IS  a challengeneed to overcome in able to win.I am an Aquatic Group Member.

"TATAK"

Gingoog City , Tourism.

                      This Giant Fruits this is the one that gives Gingoog City attraction or tourist spot it give us economic growth because of the tourist people .This is located at Rizal's St. beside in church . On that picture the color that they use of the architecture are yellow and green in mixed. It has shape of different fruits that more bigger than a person or Giant Fruits .Straight lines is used for the front .It has stones and brick that used as an texture. Gingoog City  TATAK  has a scale that make outdoor design that balance the size of the landscape while maintaining  for a comfortable environment for individuals who use the area.  It's has balance  of symmetric balance. Focalizations uses hardscapes.The proportion  are suit to then landscape.Total design have unity .It's uses hardscapes and bench in corner planting.plants are put in the lining walls to soften edges. All in all the giant fruits placing on'' TATAK "  Tourist spot are the center of attraction that most catches the viewers eye that make an expression of illusions.

 The Lessons Learn from Humanities are the following :

                    I First, the content I learn from our discussion is all the topic of humanities .I  learn aboutdifferent visual arts like arcitecture,landscape,theater,music and dance.I learn that all of this matter have its own types,kinds and genre even though we have no talent about that dance etc we do it whatever it is it is part for us being an student. Different visual arts every of this have its own characteristics that need more focus to understand well about it.Elements of design are compose of the following;color,form,line,texture and scale.There are principles of design which  make us think this word"is this landscape  are balance,focalization,simplicity,proportion and lastly rhytm or line.I learn lot of things about humanities.It makes me think creatively and effectively to give my best idea and opinion about lanscape and architecture.

                     Second,the learning strategies by our professors given to us.She makes our studies more easier and more comfortable because of his funny characteristic and aura of his face for us to be calm don't be stressful about that kinda report or oral etc. Making us to feel confidence in facing to our classmates. In reporting she allow us to be free in our strategies in reporting we don't have to be shame or shy .She allow us to report confidently by making us report in the group wherein we belong.She courage us  to be more creative and decorative in our visual aids because it is part for as students to be able to know your skills about designing. 

                   Third it is important being responsible cooperative,serious and specially more courage for this journey as a student. The important is cooperate for the group that you belong because this is part for the groupings so that balance. Be united in your classmates because weather you like it or not for the rest of the school years you are together so that no arguments happened . 

                   Lastly , I  learn from my instructor Ms.Marian Alaba is that we have to be courage don't be hesitate because of reporting be calm enjoy it no matter what . I have a lot of things that i liked her because she's funny , jamming , she's young enough for us and she is very very good instructor that i've been known . She is my favorite teacher so far :)

           This landscape was taken at the Public Square, Rizal street in front of the Roman catholic church  in Gingoog City, this was taken on the 8th day of February. This is one of the tourist spot in Gingoog City that was designed to make people feel better and comfortable when they are there. The Colors that are used are green, yellow, orange, black and white. The colors and the structure were perfect in any occasions like dating, bonding with family and friends.

                What is focused in this landscape is the fountain which is the Center Eye of the public square. This fountain was made to relax and refresh the feelings of the viewer . Sometimes it could be a relief for people's stress and helps us to renew our ourselves. This is a perfect example for Landscape architecture.

    

HUMANITIES 

           Humanities are "Humanities Scholars" or Humanist, the term "Humanist" also describes  the philosophical position of humanism. Humanities is the branch of learning that includes Arts, classics, philosophy, history and etc, but not the sciences of a particular thing.From the past discussion I've learned a lot of things to consider as a big part of human life, because humanities are academic discipline that study human culture, using methods that are primarily critical and have a significant element that includes landscape architecture, singing, dancing, theater and etc. It helps to improve human skills like critical thinking skill. 
            
           EXPLAINING is the most important strategy a teacher must have.By Giving examples makes your topic more understandable to the students. Allowing academic noises or jokes catches students interest. We all know that in every class there is an interaction with the teacher and the students . And our instructor has the following mentioned above. 

           From my classmates i have learned that Unity is very important. Helping each other helps you to  enhance leadership. Even though sometimes trouble comes but still friendship is always there. I learned that working with the group makes very interesting things, likes sharing ideas that makes your work perfect. From them i learned that i must do my best and cooperate when it is needed.

           It was great when i met Ms. Marian Alaba as my professor in Humanities-1. She's very capable in teaching. She wants her students to really understand in her discussion by her own techniques. For me she's not only my teacher, she's also my mentor and my inspiration in achieving my goals and dreams in life. She teaches us on how to be responsible and how to be a good student,Thank you Ma'am .

ACTIVITY# 1-2

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE 

                       The TATAK in Rizal Street, Gingoog City was the one of the tourist attractions her in Northern Mindanao. The color that being use are yellow, green. It has different shape according to kind of the fruits. It has stones and bricks that use as a texture. It has a symmetric balance. The total design is unity.

 

                    In corner planting it use hardscape and bench. It has also a line planting. The plants are placed in the lining walls. There are only few plants that we can see there. This spot is one of the best example of landscape architecture.

                          First, the content I learn from our discussion is all the topic of humanities. I learn the different branches of humanities like art, music, philosophy, literature and architecture. The elements of design are compose of the ff: color, form, line, texture and scale. I learn more in humanity. And these learning are makes me challenge.

 

                       It is important in the teaching strategies the way of explaining. It makes us simple to learn.  She makes our class discussion easier and comfortable. She also allowing us to report with our group members. These strategies is make us easy to understand our discussion.

                      From my classmate I learn more. Trough our group activity I learn the importance cooperation.  They share their ideas and by giving an example. I learn also the importance of being responsible. And I thank you my classmate for the more knowledge I learn from them.

             And lastly, I learned from my professor the different branches of humanities. By explaining will and giving the example. By his teaching we understand the topic will. She is a very good teacher in the field of teaching. Keep up on the good work Ma’am and Thank You.
